Westport Country Playhouse will present an open-caption performance in Spanish of the Tony Award-winning musical "Man of La Mancha," on Saturday, October 13, at 3 p.m.  This is the first time in the Playhouse's history that an open-caption performance in a language other than English will be offered.  An open-caption screen with the Spanish translation in real time will be located at the side of the stage and visible by all members of the audience.

Westport Country Playhouse announces that due to high ticket demand for its current production of the Tony Award-winning musical "Man of La Mancha," an extra performance has been added on Sunday, October 14, at 3 p.m.  The story of Don Quixote's quest for "The Impossible Dream" begins two and one-half weeks of performances on Tuesday, September 25. Director is Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director.

The 2018 Season continues on high note this fall with the epic Broadway musical Man of La Mancha on stage at the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge (formerly Dunfield Theatre Cambridge) from October 10 to November 4. This timeless tale of love and redemption starring Artistic Director Alex Mustakas as Don Quixote is sure to enthrall audiences with its enchanting melodies and grand theatrical transformations.

Talon David, who takes on the role of Aldonza in the Actor's Pointe production - starring opposite Lane Davies as Cervantes and Samuel Whited as Sancho Panza - agreed to answer our questions and to explain why she thinks you should come see Man of La Mancha.

Ilan Stavans, an authority on the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes, will be guest speaker at Westport Country Playhouse's Sunday Symposium on September 30, following a 3 p.m. performance of the musical "Man of La Mancha." The Tony Award-winning musical is inspired by Cervantes' masterpiece Don Quixote, about the title character's battle for good and the love of his fair maiden.

It has stayed relevant from its opening on Broadway in 1965 (when it won 5 Tony Awards), through four Broadway revivals, and up to the present day. Ride the Cylcone, this season's dark and hilarious co-production between The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, is now in preview performances and has its official opening night this Thursday, March 22 at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre. The award-winning director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell has continued to refine and explore the world of Ride the Cyclone with its writers Brooke Maxwell and Jacob Richmond, returning to direct after working on its two previous U.S. productions in Chicago and Off Broadway. This co-production, which is the eighth collaboration between The 5th and ACT, will showcase new developments to the script and score. At least one third of the script has been newly created for this production, which is in addition to countless small but crucial tweaks and refinements. These new developments have continued to define and shape the world that the Saint Cassian High School Chamber Choir inhabits onstage.

New Repertory Theatre's 2017-2018 season is labeled Resilience, and it doubles down on the theme with its current production of MAN OF LA MANCHA. The 1965 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, which was based on the play I, DON QUIXOTE, ran for 2,328 performances, has been revived on Broadway four times, and was subsequently adapted for a film. This enduring piece of musical theater is also the story of one man's resilience as he maintains his idealistic quest despite the odds against him.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC; David Ivers, Artistic Director; Billy Russo, Managing Director) is pleased to welcome back four-time Academy Award-nominee Marsha Mason, who will direct Neil Simon's autobiographical romantic comedy Chapter Two to open ATC's 51st season, Oct. 5-22 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe in Phoenix.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the continuation of the fourth season of Chicago's hit "lost" musicals in staged concert series, Porchlight Revisits Little Me, music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and book by Neil Simon based on the novel by Patrick Dennis, with direction by Porchlight Artistic Director Michael Weber, musical direction by Linda Madonia, choreography by Craig Miller with special guest choreography by veteran Bob Fosse dancer Jane Lanier and starring Jeff Award-winner Matt Crowle. Porchlight Revisits Little Me is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, Feb. 28 through Thursday, March 2 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's The Scottsboro Boys (previews begin Friday, Feb. 3) at Stage 773, 1225 W.
