Dennis Callaci Shares 'The Day Of The Dead' Official Video

On February 14 Dennis Callaci will release his new solo album The Day Of The Dead via Shrimper Records (pre-order). The record release falls on the same day as the Callaci's novel 100 Cassettes published by Pelekinesis whose narrative ties into the songs on The Dead of The Day (pre-order). The book is made of 100 meditations on music, commerce & the abstract. Find early entries of abstraction on Ida Cox, Alice Cooper, Talk Talk, Earl Sweatshirt and Lord Invader to nonfiction-based entries on Tony Conrad, Korla Pandit, Jackie Moore and Black Sabbath. Featuring a foreword by Jonathan Lethem and an afterword by Allen Callaci, the book winds around autobiographical information, the rich culture of Southern California from 1969 to the present day, and all musical points in between.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

Teatro ZinZanni and Randolph Entertainment have announced New Year's Eve festivities for the Dec. 31 performance at the Spiegeltent ZaZou, located in the heart of the theatre district at 32 W. Randolph. In addition to a decadent four-course dinner theatre experience, Teatro ZinZanni will host a vibrant pre-show sparkling wine and cocktail hour and post-show celebration for audience members to get their groove on with dancing and a complimentary sparkling wine toast at midnight. ABC 7 Chicago will officially countdown the New Year with Val Warner and Ryan Chiaverini, co-hosts of ABC 7's Windy City LIVE, at Teatro ZinZanni as a live broadcast location throughout the evening.

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the New York premiere of Netta Yerushalmy's Paramodernities, March 14-17, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. The complete six-part encyclopedic series is a multidisciplinary work that weaves theory and performance into a four-hour-long hybrid event. Yerushalmy and a cast of 20 dancers and scholars, ranging in age from 20 to 68, perform deconstructed installments of Nijinsky's “Sacre” (1913), Graham's “Night Journey” (1947), Ailey's “Revelations” (1960), a mix of Cunningham works “Rainforest,” “Sounddance”, “Points in Space”, “Beach Birds”,  and “Ocean” (1968-1990), dance numbers from the 1969 Fosse's film “Sweet Charity”, and a response to Balanchine's “Agon” (1957) that includes none of the original choreography.
