The final Music on the Rock of Flat Rock Playhouse's 2017 Season, August 1969: A Tribute to the Women of Woodstock celebrates these four women who remain symbols of the legendary festival, leaving an indelible and provocative mark on popular music, American culture, and the world.

The 2017 Season marked another triumph for STAGES St. Louis as the organization's 31st year of producing Broadway-quality theatre overflowed with critical and popular success, while also breaking all previous box office records. Revenue reached new heights as the box office surpassed the $2 million threshold in ticket sales, out-grossing any season in STAGES' previous three-decade history.

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT) the not-for-profit 501c3 community theatre located at 49 York Street in downtown Gettysburg, will once again change lives through the joy of musical theatre during their 4th annual Penguin Project (Special Needs Theatre) production. This year's production is Elf the musical performing weekends November 10-19, 2017 and it is almost entirely sold out. The production stars 50 children with and without special needs/disabilities from 10 different school districts performing on stage together. GCT will present their annual Christmas Cabaret on Friday, November 24th with a reception beginning at 7pm and concert starting at 7:30pm. Directed by GCT faculty member and local favorite private voice/piano instructor, Mrs. Carrie Conklin Trax will again direct this year's Christmas Cabaret, Home For The Holidays, featuring students, alumni, and friends. On December 1st for Gettysburg's First Friday, visit GCT to shop at our Holiday Pop Up Boutique with vendors for great holiday shopping 5-8pm and stay for the free Improv Show at 8pm. Gift certificates to GCT for tickets or tuition can also be purchased at this no admission special event. In December, GCT is proud to once again for the 3rd year in a row, partner with Totem Pole Playhouse for their professional production of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol to be performed December 8-17, 2017 at Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater in downtown Gettysburg. Today, 23 October 2017, rehearsals begin for the new West End cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Olivier award-winning production of School of Rock - The Musical. Stephen Leask, having played the role of alternate Dewey since May this year, will now lead the cast as Dewey Finn from 15 November 2017.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities continues its 42nd theatre season with the Broadway musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, directed by Gavin Mayer, opening on Friday, November 17 and running through December 23, 2017.

Centenary Stage Company's critically acclaimed Young Performers Workshop returns with their annual Winter Festival of Shows running December 9 through December 17. These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 fill the Little Theater with musical theatre favorites including The Pajama Game, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and A Class Act. Young Performers will also be featured in Centenary Stage Company's Family Holiday Spectacular Disney's Newsies The Musical which runs November 24 through December 10 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center.

Thanks to the magnificent performance of handsome and muscular Adam Hollick, there is an overwhelming Spiritual Presence that shines within Joseph, a power that allows him to overcome every obstacle in his way. He rises above being separated from his loved ones, sold to nomads traveling through the harsh desert, being thrown into a pit, sent to prison, and then elevated by a hard-rocking Elvis-impersonator Pharaoh (Patrick Cassidy living it up to the hilt in blue suede shoes and sequins) to a position of respect and authority after one of his visions proves to save the people of Egypt.
