After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

Tituss Burgess performed a rousing rendition of Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time' Thursday night at the Billboard's Women in Music event which took place at New York's Pier 36. Lauper received the Icon Award at the gala and Ariana Grande was honored as Billboard's Woman of the Year.

This December, Astoria Performing Arts Center will bring the magic of Coney Island to Queens. For two performances only, Luna Park: A New Musical will bring audiences back to 1903 Brooklyn when the lights of the world's most iconic amusement park went on for the very first time.

From the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is the musical that's just too good to be true.  The premiere engagement of Jersey Boys in Grand Rapids in 2013 was seen by over 15,000 theatregoers in our city at DeVos Performance Hall.  I recently talked to former Jersey Boy Actor and choreographer about His role with the production not only on the Canadian tour, and North American tour as well as currently on the Norwegian Cruise Line ship. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

The Verdi Chorus 35th anniversary season culminates with its Fall 2018 concert Passione! Opera! for two performances only at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica on November 10 and 11 led by Founding Artistic Director Anne Marie Ketchum. As the only choral group in Southern California that focuses primarily on the dramatic and diverse music for opera chorus, this program, which marks the end of a landmark year for the company, will feature selections from three Verdi operas - Aida, Don Carlo, and the famed chorus "Va, pensiero," from Nabucco, as well as operatic sequences from Boito's Mefistofele, Saint-Saens' Samson and Delilah, Catalani's La Wally and Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann.

Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Today, October 4.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2018, Paul Boyd's acclaimed 'Alice The Musical' is finally returning to its original home at the Lyric Theatre Belfast for the first time since 1998, in a great all-new production directed by the author. The 2018 cast has now been announced.

Ever since Chicago hit the big screen in 2002, Hollywood has re-embraced the movie musical. On October 5, a new title joins the genre when A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, is released. At least for now, the film is Certified Fresh, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%, but will it hold up?

It only took a taste and now he's back for more! Drew Gehling, who originated the role of Dr. Pomatter in Broadway's Waitress has just returned to the role he created. Gehling most recently starring in the Arena Stage production of Dave, which concluded its run on August 19.

Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena POPS close out their popular outdoor summer concert series at the Los Angeles County Arboretum on Saturday, September 8 with Broadway Goes to the Movies. The POPS season finale will provide a quintessential Feinstein experience with some of Broadway's greatest performers recreating songs from hit shows that traveled from 42nd St. to Hollywood. "This program is going to celebrate all the different musical aspects of Broadway and Hollywood," says Feinstein, who has put together a program spanning the Broadway canon from My Fair Lady to The Sound of Music to Jersey Boys. Highlights include "The Impossible Dream," "Can't Take My Eyes off of You," and "There's No Business Like Show Business," among many other beloved showtunes.
