Porchlight Revisits They're Playing our Song is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's Merrily We Roll Along (previews begin January 26) at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Roald Dahl's JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH JR. will be performed on the Warner Theatre Main Stage February 24 and 25, 2018 featuring the students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education!

A new study by Liberty Mutual Insurance and SADD reveals teens become riskier drivers as they enter senior year. The study "finds that older teen drivers are overconfident and perceive themselves as safer drivers despite experiencing more accidents and near misses (57 percent of seniors) than their younger peers (34 percent of sophomores)." Roanoke Children's Theatre will ignite the conversation on distracted driving with the world premiere of ILY: HANG UP & DRIVE, part of the RCT4TEENS programming. There will be public performances of ILY: HANG UP & DRIVE on March 1 and 2, 2018. Performances will be held in the Black Box Theatre at the Jefferson Center (541 Luck Avenue SW).

The Penny Seats are buzzing with anticipation as they prepare to bring the first show of their 2018 season, EDGES, written by Tony-Award and Golden Globe winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hanson, Dogfight, James and the Giant Peach, La La Land, The Greatest Showman), back to the site of its World Premier: The Kerrytown Concert House. Coronado Playhouse opens its 2018 Season, A Family Affair, with The Addams Family, opening Friday, January 19th and running until Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at Coronado Playhouse. The Addams Family, a musical comedy, is written by the creators of the multi award-winning Jersey Boys, with music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominated composer Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party) and based on characters created by Charles Addams.

Today, the Royal Shakespeare Company announces the child casting for the first five venues of the Matilda The Musical 2018/19 UK and Ireland Tour. The title role will be shared by Annalise Bradbury, Lara Cohen, Poppy Jones and Nicola Turner. The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its seventh year and is booking until 10 February 2019.
