Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce the second show in its 20th Season ... Good People. Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, and directed by Jocelyn A. Brown, Good People will preview from April 20 through April 27; regular performances will begin April 28 and continue through May 20 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

FAME is the second annual co-production between The Highwood Theatre in Silver Spring and Loiederman Middle School. Funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Arts Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, this project was specially designed for Loiederman as the performing arts magnet school of Montgomery County - the perfect chance to showcase talent from all artistic disciplines and backgrounds.

The Bonnie and Terry Burman New Play Award, a national new play contest at Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, is accepting submissions through April 30, 2018. The Grand Prize winner will receive $25,000 from Barrington Stage Company.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the final production in its 2017 - 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway. New Faces Sing Broadway 1975, hosted by Donica Lynn with direction by Christopher Pazdernik and music direction by David Fiorello, is Tuesday, June 5 at The Skokie Theatre, 7924 Lincoln Ave., Skokie at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 6 at The Arts Club of Chicago, 201 E. Ontario Street, at 6:30 p.m. (The Arts Club presentation also includes a pre-show reception at 6:30 p.m. with performance at 7:30 p.m.). In tribute to the original New Faces series that ran on Broadway and on film from 1934 - 1968, Porchlight Music Theatre created the Chicago musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway as a showcase for the best emerging music talent now performing on Chicago stages. Each edition is a "time-machine" journey from the start to the finish of an entire musical season from the classic days of Broadway, peppered with photos and films of the era in an exciting multimedia presentation with a favorite Chicago theatre veteran like Donica Lynn hosting and introducing the next generation of music theatre artists while acting as your guide through a vintage year on the Great White Way. Factory Theatre concludes another successful season under the leadership of Artistic Director Nina Lee Aquino and Managing Director Jonathan Heppner with Marie Beath Badian's PRAIRIE NURSE, a farcical account of real-life events, directed by Sue Miner in the Mainspace April 21 - May 13, 2018.  This co-production with Thousand Islands Playhouse will run in Gananoque this summer.

Porchlight Music Theatre announced that Lorenzo Rush Jr has replaced James Earl Jones II in Porchlight Revisits They're Playing Our Song, music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager and book by Neil Simon, with direction and choreography by Christopher Carter and musical direction by Andra Velis Simon. Porchlight Revisits They're Playing our Song is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's Merrily We Roll Along (previews begin January 26) at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Signature Theatre is proud to announce the full cast and creative team for the DC premiere of Girlfriend. Directed and choreographed by Signature Theatre Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Crazy for You, Jelly's Last Jam), this coming of age musical features a book by Todd Almondand featuring the music and lyrics of Matthew Sweet.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical has announced that Sara Munday and Olivia Wells will join Lily-Mae Evans and Savannah Read in the title role of Matilda from 13 March 2018. Seen by over 7.7 million people across more than 60 cities worldwide, the multi award-winning production is now playing its seventh year in London, booking at the Cambridge Theatre until 10 February 2019.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach which launches him on a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family to survive the adventure of a lifetime.

James Henry Trotter lives with two ghastly hags - his odious aunts - and he's a very lonely little boy indeed. One day, something peculiar happens. At the end of the garden, a peach starts to grow and grow ... and grow. Inside that peach are seven very unusual insects, all waiting to take James on a magical adventure of enormous proportions. We invite you to crawl inside the giant peach and take a peek. Based on Roald Dahl's beloved book and featuring music by the Tony and Academy Award-winning songwriting team behind D ear Evan Hansen, Dogfight , and La La Land, this family musical takes you on an amazing voyage across the ocean. 

James and the Giant Peach, a magical story of adventure and unexpected friends in a family-friendly musical, will run March 2 - 25, 2018 at the Omaha Community Playhouse in the Hawks Mainstage Theatre.

The Orange County Asperger's Support Group (OCASG) and Chance Theater will be working together this summer to present the new Spectrum 'Speak Up' Series. The program is specifically designed for teens that have been diagnosed with high functioning Autism, Asperger's, or PDD-NOS.
