Steven Brinberg and his show Simply Barbra a?" the acclaimed all-live homage to the legendary Barbra Streisand a?" will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film Hello, Dolly! with a special concert tour this fall. It will launch this Saturday, September 7 with a sold-out show at the Milford Arts Center (Milford, CT) and will continue in London for three shows at The Crazy Coqs (October 14-16), Martinis Above Fourth in San Diego, CA (October 23), and The Green Room 42 in New York, NY (November 6). The show features songs from and stories about the film, as well as other Streisand hits right up to her current album Walls. This summer Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC) presents the romantic comedy Twelfth Night at the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival, directed by ISC Co-Founder and Managing Director, David Melville. Twelfth Night will begin previews on Saturday, June 29 at 7pm, will open on Saturday, July 6 at 7pm and perform through Sunday, September 1 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park.  All ISC summer Shakespeare productions are FREE to the public!  Twelfth Night is the first of two productions being presented at this year's Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival. Pericles begins Saturday, July 27 and will run in repertory with Twelfth Night.

Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, today announced that Principal Dancer Guillaume Côté will make his debut with New York City Ballet (NYCB) as a Guest Artist in Swan Lake on Friday, February 14. Mr. Côté will dance the role of Prince Siegfried, partnering with NYCB Principal Dancer Sara Mearns as Odette/Odile. Mr. Côté replaces NYCB Principal Dancer Tyler Angle, who is unable to perform due to injury. Ms. Mearns and Mr. Côté will also dance the roles on Sunday, February 16 at 2:00 pm.

The La Paloma Prisoner Project is Raquel Almaƶán's theatre and outreach project about the reclamation of identity by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women, and sharing those stories through workshops, advocacy and community partnerships.
