National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

Stage and screen star, Patricia Morison died today at the age of 103 at home in Los Angeles of natural causes. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) held its annual Accessories for Success Scholarship Luncheon, on Sunday, April 22nd at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills and presented by City National Bank.  The event honored three exemplary women, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and support for children facing adversity in Los Angeles. The event also presented a record 108 scholarships to college bound youth from the BBBSLA program.

From 1944 to 1957, pioneering impresario, Verve Records founder, Norman Granz organized a series of prestigious all-star concerts that featured a who's-who of the genre's most popular and influential artists.
