Following two seasons of darkened stages, restricted interactions, and limited live theatre, London’s Grand Theatre is lifting the curtain on its 2022/23 season - unveiling a full return to the stage with ten powerful productions, four world premieres, and an exhilarating five-concert series from Jeans ’n Classics.

Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass and Executive Director Julie Ann Kornak will present the final show of BrightSide Theatre’s 10th Anniversary Season – BrightSide is Back! The twice postponed production closes out the season with the music of ABBA in the musical that has entertained over 60 million people around the globe -  Mamma Mia!  

Smash hit musical Annie Get Your Gun is to be celebrated with a special one-night only concert production at the world-famous London Palladium. 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the first ever West End production of Annie Get Your Gun. Now, fans of Irving Berlin's hit musical will be able to witness the UK's first ever concert production of the show at the London Palladium on Wednesday June 1.

First Look Sonoma, Paul Dresher Ensemble, and Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center will present the world premiere in San Francisco of a new opera, Both Eyes Open, by composer, Max Giteck Duykers and librettist, Philip Kan Gotanda. Directed by Melissa Weaver and conducted by Benjamin Makino. An open dress rehearsal/preview is set for Friday, June 24, 2022 at 2:00pm, while the show premieres on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 8:00pm and Sunday June 26, 2022 at 7:00 pm. All performances take place at the Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center, 99 Moraga Avenue, San Francisco, California, in Presidio National Park.

Foley artists create all the sounds of 1940s Bedford Falls, just like it was done when radio was the center of family entertainment in the home. Instead of huddling around a radio, families turn to a smart TV, computer, or mobile device for the story of the life of George Bailey and his fateful Christmas Eve encounter.

This one-woman play is an adaptation of the classic Christmas film “It’s A Wonderful Life” and Amy White Pridgen brings plenty of enthusiasm and pluck.

Thanks to Broadway On Demand and Director Gai Jones the Ojai Art Center Theater presents “It's A Wonderful Life A Live Radio Play” Saturday, December 12 at 7 pm through Saturday, December 19 at midnight. This unique streaming production comes as OACT's first show since the pandemic caused them to cancel the second play in their 2020 season.

Executive Director Jay Pastucha and Associate Artistic Director Stephen Smith are thrilled to announce that we are bringing our holiday tradition of It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play to our audiences for the ninth year. 

This month, HEY VIOLA! Viola Desmond: The Soundtrack of a Life plays from October 15 – 25 at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster. After interviewing star, Krystle Dos Santos in September, it was a pleasure to see her take the stage playing Canadian Hero: Viola Desmond in the show. Viola Desmond was a Canadian civil rights activist and entrepreneur. In 1946, Desmond fought against racial segregation as she refused to leave the “Whites only” section of a movie theatre in Nova Scotia. Desmond was arrested and charged with tax evasion. Her experience was publicized and sparked a movement amongst Canadians against racial discrimination. Viola Desmond is currently featured on the Canadian ten-dollar bill and her story will remain important to Canadian history, as racial injustices are still an ongoing issue we face today.

Set to take place live from her native Los Angeles on Saturday, October 24th at 3PM PT / 6PM ET.
