The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2019 season, which opens on June 10 with Guys and Dolls.

After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

Olivier Award winner & Tony Award nominee Jenna Russell (Sunday In The Park With George, Merrily We Roll Along and Fun Home at the Young Vic) and four-time Tony nominee Judy Kuhn (star of Trevor Nunn's new Fiddler On The Roof at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Broadway's Fun Home, Chess and Les Miserables) will join Seth Rudetsky as music director/host for two intimate concerts on Sunday, February 3 as part of the long-running Broadway @ Leicester Square Theatre series.

Moonlight Presents offers two holiday events in December at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. There's no day but January 27, 2019 when it comes to FOX's Rent. 

A whole lot happened in Oz before Dorothy dropped in, and Wicked has been telling that story to Broadway audiences for 15 years at the Gershwin Theatre. The milestone won't go by uncelebrated, as in just days, NBC will throw a joyous Halloween party for the ages, featuring songs from the blockbuster musical hit and a cavalcade of special guest stars, including Tony Award winners Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. Additional guest performers include Ariana Grande, Adam Lambert, Ledisi, Pentatonix and the current Broadway company of 'Wicked.' 'A Very Wicked Halloween' airs tonight, October 29th at 10PM ET/PT on NBC.

PREMIERES (Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director), the New York based music theater organization whose mission is "to bring new music theater to light," is pleased to announce the cast and creative teams for this season's INNER VOICES, the biennial series of solo works featuring new teams of playwrights and composers. The McCallum Theatre presents Celtic Thunder on Friday, November 16, at 8:00pm. The Celtic Thunder X tour is the show's 12th tour of the U.S. and Canada since Celtic Thunder's debut in 2008. The airing of their first Public Television special came that same year and Celtic Thunder has consistently remained one of the most popular musical shows for PBS stations throughout the United States.

The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the New York premiere of WILD GOOSE DREAMS, written by Hansol Jung and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman.

American Blues Theater announces encore performance run of BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story, written by Alan Janes, directed by Lili-Anne Brown, with musical direction by Ensemble Member Michael Mahler. BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story will close as planned on May 26, 2018 and reopen June 29 - September 15, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Tickets will be on sale for the encore run on May 15, 2018.
