The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, gives a concert entitled Movie Mixtape: Songs from the Silver Screen, today, March 15 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, joined by acclaimed vocalists Mykal Kilgore, Storm Large, Ashley Park, and Ryan Silverman. Schimmel Center at Pace University concludes its 2018-19 Cabaret Series with an evening of standards and musical theater selections composed by women titled Baby, Dream Your Dream: The Great Women Songwriters today, March 9, 2019 at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $29 and can be purchased at SchimmelCenter.org, by phone at 212-346-1715, or by visiting the Schimmel Center Box Office at 3 Spruce Street, Manhattan. Box office hours are Tuesday-Today, Noon-5pm, and then beginning three hours prior to each performance, through intermission.

A whole lot happened in Oz before Dorothy dropped in, and Wicked has been telling that story to Broadway audiences for 15 years at the Gershwin Theatre. The CIT Cork School of Music percussion department collaborate for the first time with the percussion ensemble “Millennial Percussion” from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and its artistic director Adrian Spillet (principal percussionist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra), and the conservatoire's percussion lecturers Sophie Hastings and Cormac Byrne.
