Encompass New Opera Theatre will present the world premiere of Anna Christie with music by Edward Thomas set to a libretto by Joseph Masteroff, beginning on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 8pm, running through Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (at 55 Lexington Avenue, entrance on 25th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues).

Celebrity Attractions and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust announce the National Broadway Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will return to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of only eight performances January 8-13. THE BOOK OF MORMON is a special add-on production to the Celebrity Attractions' 35th Anniversary 2018-2019 Broadway Season. Tickets are now on sale for Michael Grandage Company's critically acclaimed production of John Logan's Red, starring Alfred Molina and Alfred Enoch. The show will be presented by Trafalgar Releasing in selected cinemas across North America and the UK on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

Skylight Music Theatre Artistic Director Ray Jivoff announced the cast and creative team for Pippin, running September 21 through October 7 in Skylight's beautiful Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Nearly a decade ago a story ran in NJ's most widely circulated print newspaper which opened with the statement "New Jersey doesn't have a state music director, but it would seem that Jason Tramm is out to create the position… as he leads opera, choral and orchestral concerts from Morris County to Ocean Grove." Prescient in their observations, The Star Ledger's 2009 article provided a snapshot of Tramm at the beginning of his career.  In spirit, the image resonates today, albeit with a decidedly expanded geographic reach.

Casting is now complete for the Lyceum premiere of the charming and hilarious comedy Souvenir, playing from August 18 - August 26. Souvenir will be directed by BRUCE LONGWORTH (At the Lyceum: The Immigrant, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Miracle Worker, Arsenic and Old Lace and The Importance of Being Earnest). Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a grumpy ride! The Ogunquit Playhouse is proud to produce the U.S. premiere of the new musical-comedy, Grumpy Old Men the Musical on stage from August 8 to September 1 - just in time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the hit film that starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret. The 2018 prize package is valued at over $45,000, including the $20,000 major prize, The Rob Guest Endowment Award.

Pittsburgh CLO's THE FULL MONTY will take it all off at the Benedum Center this summer July 6 - 15. With a book written by Terrence McNally (Ragtime) and the music/ lyric talents of David Yazbek (The Band's Visit, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown), this duo cooks up an aggressive crowd-pleaser that is both highly-entertaining and charmingly uplifting.

With the UK premiere of The Gronholm Method running at the Menier, Travesties running on Broadway and The Color Purple on tour in the US, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the cast for UK premiere of Gerard Alessandrini's Spamilton: An American Parody which opens at the theatre on 24 July, with previews from 12 July and runs until 8 September. Alessandrini directs Marc Akinfolarin, Jason Denton, Eddie Elliott, Liam Tamne and Julie Yammanee, with special guests Sophie-Louise Dann and Damian Humbley. The production renews Alessandrini's collaboration with the Menier following Forbidden Broadway which ran both at the theatre and in the West End.
