The Toronto Symphony Orchestra announces an historic 2022/23 season that celebrates the Orchestra's 100th anniversary. Following its recently announced nine Olivier award nominations, it was announced today (17 March 2022) that public booking for Life of Pi, Lolita Chakrabarti's dazzling stage adaptation of Yann Martel's award-winning book, has been extended until 4 September 2022.

While best known for his roles in film, Hurt got his start on the stage in the 1970s. He appeared on Broadway in Hurlyburly in 1984, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Hurt also performed in various off-Broadway productions including Henry V, Fifth of July, Richard II and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth swung by the stage door of the The Barrymore Theatre for some face time with the show's Tony-nominated composer and star, Sara Bareilles.

The American Theater Group, Somerset County’s newest professional theater company, will present a reimagined version of The Evolution of (Henry) Mann as its 2021-22 season opener. The new musical, by composer Douglas Cohen (Children’s Letters to God) and Dan Elish (13) is an engaging, light-hearted look at finding love in today’s modern world.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth for one performance only, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 7:30 pm at Segerstrom Hall. The song is mashed up with Christmas Time Is Here, which was featured in the film A Charlie Brown Christmas.

For their 38th season at Undermain they are creating an exciting array of diverse performance opportunities to inspire and enrich our community and support artists in North Texas. They hope to be able to offer live performances in addition to the virtual streaming videos for each production. 

Playwright and novelist Michael Frayn was today awarded  the Critics Circle Award for Services to the Arts, the Critics Circle’s highest honour. Every year since 1988, the Critics’ Circle has voted for a single leading artist to receive an engraved crystal rose bowl in recognition of their distinguished contribution to the arts.
