Geva Theatre Center's Artistic Director Mark Cuddy and Executive Director Christopher Mannelli are proud to announce the 10 major productions and 2 festivals of the much anticipated 2019-2020 Season, the non-profit theatre's 47th year of making professional theatre of a national standard in Rochester.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-M st announced details of their 2019-2020 season which encompasses 76 concerts over 26 weeks. One significant highlight includes a festival designed to explore music and art that was banned, marginalized, and destroyed during the Nazi's Degenerate Art movement, and the continuing impact of censorship on creative expression in society today. The festival will center on Alban Berg's Lulu, one of the 20th century's most influential operas, and includes partner programming with the area's notable arts institutions.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade in association with Manhattan Theatre Source will present the 2019 EstroGenius Festival, the longest running festival celebrating the work of women and gender non-conforming artists in NYC.  Begun in Manhattan Theatre Source in 2000 as a short-play festival, the festival has launched and supported hundreds of artists in its 19 years. In 2017 the festival moved to its new home at The Kraine Theatre on E. 4th St.

JoyFest is bringing together legendary Gospel music artists for its summertime festivals. Let's drop a few names here: Mary Mary ft. My Block Inc Family, Marvin Sapp, Tamela & David Mann, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard! Mary Mary ft. My Block Inc. Family, and Marvin Sapp will be at JoyFest - NC in Charlotte, NC on Mary 25th! The Mann Family and Tasha Cobbs Leonard are booked for the JoyFest - VA festival at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA on July 13th!

Actress/singer/vocal coach Susan Edwards Martin, Lady Blues in Torch Song Trilogy on Broadway and star of many other musical shows, recently premiered her solo cabaret show at Upstairs at Vitello's. I reviewed the show and she was sensational.* She is taking the show to Feinstein's 54/Below in New York on March 23. Edwards Martin also has created an original show about the optimistic way she lives her life called, 'Unlimited! You'll Have the Time of Her Life!", that had a spectacular one night presentation and is currently waiting in the wings for a full production. Busy, busy, busy, Edwards also recently performed with Musical Theatre Guild as the lead in Minnie's Boys to rave reviews. Ms. Edwards Martin sat down and discussed her career thus far, and about the story behind Unlimited! You'll Have the Time of Her Life! and her latest cabaret show. Before we start to look back I always ask a few less relevant questions about musical theatre.

City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh's home for contemporary plays, has announced the details of the theatre's 45th season of new works. This line-up of plays is the first curated by Artistic Director Marc Masterson upon his return to City Theatre in 2018.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is offering more, more, more for entertainment fans next month: more shows, more stars, more music, more laughs, more fun for everybody.

Now in its 2nd year, Goodman Theatre selects five Chicagoland elementary schools to participate in the "Disney Musicals in Schools" program--an outreach initiative developed by Disney Theatrical Productions to create sustainable musical theater programs in under-resourced elementary schools. The selected schools include John C. Haines Elementary School (China Town) performing Aladdin KIDS; Jonathan Y. Scammon Elementary School (Logan Square) performing The Lion King KIDS; Richard Yates Elementary School (Humboldt Park) performing Aladdin KIDS; Belmont-Cragin Elementary School (Belmont Cragin) performing The Lion King KIDS; and Gerald Delgado Kanoon Magnet Elementary School (Little Village) performing Aladdin KIDS. Coordinated by Goodman Theatre artists Adrian Azevedo and Anna Gelman, under the leadership of Walter Director of Education and Engagement Willa J. Taylor, the five area public elementary schools received performance rights to a Disney KIDS musical of their choice, at no cost.

Yehuda Hyman is a Brooklyn-based choreographer and playwright who's new play, The Mar Vista: In Search of My Mother's Love Life will be running at the Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center from March 5 through March 23, 2019. Yehuda Hyman spoke to BroadwayWorld about the process of developing the show over the last several years and the unique stories it portrays.

Madison's Andrew Abrams, Capital City Theatre's Artistic Director, travels to London to workshop BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER: THE MUSICAL, for which he wrote the music. BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER: THE MUSICAL has been selected by the MTFestUK for it's inaugural showcase of new musicals.

In a New York premiere that marks a new chapter for the 27-year-old company rooted in the New York City's vibrant Asian-American community, Yangtze Repertory Theatre tackles JUNE IS THE FIRST FALL, an award-winning contemporary play by Yilong Liu exploring the themes of identity, sexuality, and immigration.

The Second City celebrates Black History Month by bringing you the most iconic sketches created by our African American alumni along with classic archive scenes reimagined with a new comedic spin. The Second City's Black History Month Show features Rich Alfonso, Jillian Ebanks, Jack Brian, Jordan Stafford, Shadee Vossoughi and Kaye Winks.

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre has been offering its unique dance educations program through its arts education arm Notes in Motion Outreach Dance Theatre since 2000. We became a vendor of NYC Department of Education in 2005 and since that time, have been offering a wide array of residency, professional development, interactive performance, and after-school programs that teach ballet, modern, jazz, African, tap, hip hop, yoga, Latin dance, and more.

On the Norwegian musical theatre scene he has originated roles such as Sky in Mamma Mia and Galileo in We Will Rock You, as well as playing Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Karl Oskar in Kristina and Freddy in Chess. Currently he is playing the title role in The Phantom of the Opera for which he recently won Best Actor in a Musical at the Regional BroadwayWorld Awards. The show also won Best Muscial.

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network, announced its 2019 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala to take place on Thursday, March 14th, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The event will be hosted by Cara Buono, co‐star of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, and Emmy‐ nominee for her role on Mad Men. The awards honor the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals and corporations who have made an impact on people with disabilities and have inspired others through their professional and charitable endeavors. The gala benefits the important ongoing programs and services of ADAPT Community Network. This year's honorees will be announced next month.

Many were surprised when Lauren Ambrose was cast as Eliza in My Fair Lady; no one was surprised when Laura Benanti was announced to take over. Benanti's passion for the role aside, she always seemed the perfect fit. In a recent Instagram post, Benanti paid tribute to Ambrose's run in the Broadway classic.

Open Space, SFMOMA's contemporary arts and culture interdisciplinary platform, is pleased to announce de(composition), a four-week workshop led by the artist and activist Keith Hennessy with an opening ceremony and talk by Kanyon CoyoteWoman Sayers-Roods (Mutsun-Ohlone, California Native). Free of charge and open to all bodies, the program will focus on experiences, histories, and ideas to inspire composition; activities will include an unpredictable mix of embodied studio practice, lecture, and discussion for artists of all kinds.

Excitement is building at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI, as the North American tour opening of the first ever Broadway revival of CATS approaches at the Theatre, January 22 - 27, 2019. To date, sixteen national tours have opened at PPAC since 2008. The CATS national tour launch will bring this number to seventeen national tour openings.
