Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue, is thrilled to announce that our homegrown production of AVENUE Q will be lovingly revived on the Mercury stage, from June 21st through September 9th, 2018. Press opening is Friday, June 29th at 8:00pm. After entertaining nearly 30,000 people over 169 performances and breaking all box office records for Mercury Theater Chicago, these sassy and lovable puppets are back for more fun and mischief.

Due to ongoing ticket demand, Celine Dion has announced 24 additional show dates for her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The performances scheduled Oct 30 through Nov. 17 and Dec. 28 through Jan. 20, including a performance on New Year's Eve, will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, June 8 at noon PST.

In 2004 on Broadway, against all the odds, a little show called AVENUE Q snatched 3 Tony Awards for Best Book, Best Score and Best Musical from a monster hit, WICKED. This year, VR Theatrical and Kosie Smit are proud to be presenting this triple Tony Award winner to Johannesburg audiences.

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to present Twirly Whirly Burly-Q, classic burlesque with a modern twirl, for two performances only, May 18-19 at 8:00 pm, at the historic Bangor Opera House. The New York City-based touring troupe includes Üla Überbusen, who played two sold-out shows at the Opera House on New Year's Eve 2016. The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts (DECFA) will celebrate the 119th birthday of Duke Ellington with a FREE All-Ellington Musical Tribute on Sunday, April 29, 2018, 1PM to 3PM. which will be staged beneath the Duke Ellington statue that stands majestically at the corner of 110th Street and 5th Avenue - the Gateway to Harlem, it was announced by noted dancer/choreographer Mercedes Ellington, Duke Ellington's granddaughter, who is President, Founder & Artistic Director of DECFA.

Acclaimed Australian actor Colin Friels will star in British playwright Justin Butcher's brilliant one-man play Scaramouche Jones at Arts Centre Melbourne's Fairfax Studio from 15 - 25 August. This will be the first time Friels has performed a solo theatre piece in his long and celebrated career.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announces Goodman Theatre's new 2018/2019 Season-a 14-play line-up of timely, original and inspired works curated by Falls in collaboration with his artistic associates. The Disney hit features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and book by Doug Wright. The production is directed by Eve Himmelheber with choreography by Karl Warden and musical direction by Corey Hirsch, and runs March 23-April 15, 2018 in the Little Theatre on campus. Mermaid princess Ariel is fascinated by the world and lives of people on land and longs to join them. However, her father, King Triton, forbids contact. When she falls in love with the human Prince Eric from afar, she makes a deal with the evil Ursula to win his heart.

Renowned re-enactor Bill Agress brings Albert Einstein to "life" for children during Princeton's Annual Pi Day celebration at Morven Museum & Garden, where a "surprise" birthday party is held each year as part of Pi Day Princeton. Attendees at this year's March 10 surprise party, which starts at 10 am, will have an even greater surprise -- they will each take home an historic party favor: a cutting from Einstein's own begonias.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Symphonie Fantastique - the singular creation by designer, director, master puppeteer, and MacArthur "Genius" Basil Twist - returns to its original home at HERE in a 20th anniversary production for 12 weeks only, March 29-June 17. Set to Hector Berlioz's revolutionary 1830 score, Symphonie Fantastique, for the first time in New York, features live piano accompaniment by Christopher O'Riley. Hailed as a creative masterpiece when it debuted in 1998, the production is set to open on April 4 and a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program and a centerpiece of HERE's 25th anniversary season.
