Greenbrier Valley Theatre is preparing to produce its first musical of the 2022 season, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Written by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change opens at GVT on June 17 and runs through the 26.

Broadway music director, conductor, arranger, and songwriter Donald Pippin has passed away at 95. Pippin's work included his notable collaborations with Jerry Herman, including Mame and La Cage aux Folles. 

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced today the cast for the upcoming West Coast premiere of Sanctuary City written by Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok (Cost of Living) and directed by David Mendizábal (Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Board Members).

Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. Djanet Sears' provocative play Harlem Duet joins the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival's 33rd Season in Sen̓ákw/Vanier Park. The Bard premiere of Harlem Duet runs on the Howard Family Stage in the Douglas Campbell Theatre for a limited engagement from June 15 to July 17, 2022.

The dētour Series consists of the world premiere of three one-act operas by composer Nicolas Reveles for an evening entitled Ghosts, and The Falling and the Rising, an opera co-commissioned with the United States Army. 

The first performance in Australia of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella will take place tonight, Friday 20 May, at Melbourne's Regent Theatre. One of the most beautiful and beloved musicals of all time, Cinderella will play at the Regent Theatre until 23 July, with seasons following at the Lyric Theatre QPAC, Brisbane from 5 August and the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 23 October.

The Orange Tree Theatre today announces the full cast for Pierre Marivaux's The False Servant, translated by Martin Crimp, whose prolific international career began at the Orange Tree Theatre, including the recent hit revival of Dealing with Clair. Before his final season as Artistic Director of the OT, Paul Miller, directs Uzair Bhatti, Will Brown, Julian Moore-Cook, Phoebe Pryce, Lizzy Watts and Silas Wyatt-Barke.

Criminal Genius - a one act play, is the third play in George F. Walker's six part 'Suburban Motel Series.' Walker is one of Canada’s most prolific playwrights and is also one of the most widely produced Canadian Dramatists both in Canada and internationally. The show is produced by Jim Grollman, directed by Steve Rankin, and stars Jim Grollman. Scott Krinsky, Dagney Kerr, Debra Sullivan, and Fred Sanders.

Northern Stage recently announced that current Managing Director Irene Green will be returning to her roots in Minnesota and has accepted a new position as the Executive Director of the O'Shaughnessy, a performance venue on the campus of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Her departure from Northern Stage will be effective July 2, 2022.

Chart-topping a cappella group Straight No Chaser will celebrate their 25th Anniversary at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 7:30 PM.

PETIT RAT, a new documentary that is a love story between a mother and her two daughters, premieres on PBS stations beginning in May and on PBS+ on Wednesday, May 4. The film written, directed, and choreographed by Vera Wagman, examines the Wagman family’s history and spans nearly 80 years.
