The season opens with the world premiere of El ultimó sueño de Frida y Diego, the Company debut of Puccini's Suor Angelica, the return of Gianni Schicchi after a fifty-two-year absence, and performances of the beloved warhorse Tosca. The dētour Series consists of the world premiere of three one-act operas by composer Nicolas Reveles for an evening entitled Ghosts, and The Falling and the Rising, an opera co-commissioned with the United States Army. 

The first performance in Australia of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella will take place tonight, Friday 20 May, at Melbourne's Regent Theatre. One of the most beautiful and beloved musicals of all time, Cinderella will play at the Regent Theatre until 23 July, with seasons following at the Lyric Theatre QPAC, Brisbane from 5 August and the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 23 October.

The Orange Tree Theatre today announces the full cast for Pierre Marivaux's The False Servant, translated by Martin Crimp, whose prolific international career began at the Orange Tree Theatre, including the recent hit revival of Dealing with Clair. Before his final season as Artistic Director of the OT, Paul Miller, directs Uzair Bhatti, Will Brown, Julian Moore-Cook, Phoebe Pryce, Lizzy Watts and Silas Wyatt-Barke.

Criminal Genius - a one act play, is the third play in George F. Walker's six part 'Suburban Motel Series.' Walker is one of Canada’s most prolific playwrights and is also one of the most widely produced Canadian Dramatists both in Canada and internationally. The show is produced by Jim Grollman, directed by Steve Rankin, and stars Jim Grollman. Scott Krinsky, Dagney Kerr, Debra Sullivan, and Fred Sanders.

Northern Stage recently announced that current Managing Director Irene Green will be returning to her roots in Minnesota and has accepted a new position as the Executive Director of the O'Shaughnessy, a performance venue on the campus of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Her departure from Northern Stage will be effective July 2, 2022.

PETIT RAT, a new documentary that is a love story between a mother and her two daughters, premieres on PBS stations beginning in May and on PBS+ on Wednesday, May 4. The film written, directed, and choreographed by Vera Wagman, examines the Wagman family’s history and spans nearly 80 years.

Straight No Chaser is returning to Hershey Theatre with “The 25th Anniversary Celebration” tour on Sunday, December 4, 2022, with two performances at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world.

This fall, the group will kick off their “The 25th Anniversary Celebration” tour on October 20th in Deadwood, South Dakota, and will perform through New Year’s Eve, where the tour wraps up in Portland, OR. Yale Repertory Theatre has announced its 2022–23 season of four plays. The season will begin with Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, running October 6–29. James Bundy, who directed Albee’s A Delicate Balance at Yale Rep in 2010, will stage this new production of the explosively comedic and harrowingly profound masterpiece.
