The 2017 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, A Doll's House, Part 2, makes its Seattle debut at Seattle Rep this spring, helmed by the extraordinary talents of Michael Winters (The Cider House Rules) and Pamela Reed (The Humans, 2017). Written by Tony Award nominee Lucas Hnath and directed by Seattle Rep Artistic Director Braden Abraham, A Doll's House, Part 2 runs March 15 - April 28, 2019 (opening night is March 20, 2019) on the Leo K. stage. Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences today announced the second production by its new Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in drama program. The B.F.A. in drama is the most prestigious undergraduate degree available for theater students. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Love's soft will be the second installation in their NYC Reading Series at Barnard College, held on Monday, October 29th at 7:00pm at the Glicker-Milstein Theater at The Diana Center. Directing this production is San Diego REP Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse. Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2 debuted on Broadway in 2017 where it received eight Tony Award nominations. Performances run November 21 - December 16, 2018, at the Lyceum Stage Theatre. Tickets start at $25 and are currently on sale to the general public. Previews run November 21 - 27, 2018. Press opening is Wednesday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m.

It later was produced at the American Theatre Company in Chicago and was listed as one of Time Out: Chicago's "24 Shows To See In January." The story follows two average American families during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Globe is happy to announce that the Globe for All Tour will continue to bring shows to the community in 2018, with support provided by Theatre Forward's Advancing Strong Theatre grant program. Following the Globe engagement of Karen Zacarias's hilarious comedy directed by Edward Torres, Native Gardens will travel June 28 through July 1 to four of our community partner venues for free performances in South Bay, Lemon Grove, Otay Mesa, and Oceanside. The League of Chicago Theatres held the 2018 Annual Gala, an elegant event that brings together friends of Chicago theatre to raise funds for programs to support Chicagoland's more than 250-member theatre companies.
