A new musical production of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is coming to PBS! This new production features Alan Cumming recounting the three-part tale: the Nutcracker’s origin story, the events on Christmas Eve, and what happens to the girl and the prince after the beloved ballet ends. The Public Theater announced the full line-up today for the 18th annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, running January 12-30, 2022. Stage Director George Ferencz (1947-2021), passed away on September 14 following a long illness according to his wife of 35 years, Sally Lesser. For over a half century, Ferencz was a beloved fixture of New York’s Off- and Off-Off-Broadway theatre scenes.
