BIRDLAND THEATER will present singers Stacy Sullivan and Todd Murray in the new show “I’m Glad There Is You – The Musical Romance of Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee” on Monday, October 31 at 8:30 PM.

According to an interview with The Age, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schoenberg are currently revising Martin Guerre for a potential London run in 2024. Paul Hodge, who wrote Clinton: The Musical, is helping with the rewrite. Original producer Cameron Mackintosh has returned the rights to the creators and will not be involved. 

For the 2nd annual Black Theatre Day (September 17) The International Black Theatre Summit, convened by The CRAFT Institute, is partnering with organizations to increase visibility of Black theatres and encourage donations of time, money, and service year-round.

Axis Theatre Company will present the return of Washington Square, a contemporary take on Henry James’s novel. Adapted and directed by Randy Sharp, the production features original music by Paul Carbonara, a cast of four, and is performed in the heart of Greenwich Village, a few blocks from the story’s 19th-century setting.

Out of the Box Theatrics announced they will produce the first Off-Broadway revival of the critically acclaimed musical, Floyd Collins. The production, to be directed by Christina Sajous (Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, American Idiot; Out of the Box Theatrics’ 2019 production of Baby), will play from November 11 through December 18, 2022.

Centerstage Theatre has announced a full five show season and new subscription package pricing.  All subscriptions, and single tickets to some shows, will be available on Friday July 23, 2022 at 10am.
