Melba Moore Owns The Stage in WBTT Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill

At age 82, singer-raconteur, Ira Lee Collings is thrilled to be nominated for a 2018 MAC Award in the "Musical Comedy Performer" category. The self-proclaimed "gay geezer" is over the moon; the only other performer to claim an "oldest" distinction is Marilyn Maye (she'll be 90 years old in April) who won her first MAC in 2010. And while it's true that Carol Shedlin has a few years on both Maye and Collings, she'll be receiving the non competitive Hanson Award this year, an honor given to a performer who has never received a MAC nomination, but who has, none the less, done excellent work over a sustained period of time. Last year's Hanson Award winner, by the way, was - Ira Lee Collings!

The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center announces the fourth annual Segal Center Film Festival on Theatre and Performance (FTP). The program includes a roster of more than 35 features, shorts, and documentaries by artists from Argentina, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, The Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, The United Kingdom, and the United States. The festival takes place on Thursday, March 1; Friday, March 2; and Saturday, March 3 at The Martin E. Puppets galore descend upon Centaur Theatre as world renowned puppeteer provocateur, Ronnie Burkett, makes his Centaur debut with over 40 hand-crafted marionettes for the Quebec premiere of The Daisy Theatre, playing February 20 to March 24, 2018. Montreal's Festival de Casteliers will include The Daisy Theatre as part of its programming along with a post-show talkback following the March 8th performance.

The Garden Theatre is pleased to announce its signature gala, Encore: A 10 Year Anniversary Celebration with Broadway Legend Joel Grey presented by Orlando Health. American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces two performances presented by Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall during the 2018-2019 season. The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College present the 13th edition of The Big Broadcast! on Saturday, March 3 at 2PM & 7:30PM at Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, MA. Created and directed by Mark Gionfriddo, who is also onstage as "Matt Morgan", The Big Broadcast! is a re-creation of a live 1940's radio show featuring the Mount Holyoke College Big Band, Vocal Jazz, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles performing well-known tunes from the swing era and the American songbook. One of the most successful stage productions of all-time, the musical will welcome back international stage star and Platinum-selling Swedish recording artist Peter J back to lead the 30th Anniversary.
