Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, one of South Florida's hottest theatre companies, today announced the cast of its fourth production this year, the comedy rock musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, which will run December 1-17 at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse.

This November, The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) is getting into the real estate game with The House.

Today's subject Kimberly Schraf is currently living her theatre life at Ford's Theatre portraying one of the best known female roles in the American Theatre. LABA: Laboratory for Jewish Culture announces the 2017-2018 Fellows: a group of ten culture-makers, a mix of visual artists, writers, musicians, playwrights and directors who are brought together to study classic Jewish texts in a non-religious, open-minded setting centered on a chosen theme; this year's theme is WAR + PEACE.

The Atlanta Opera's Discoveries series brings Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's The Seven Deadly Sins to Atlanta for the first time. Brian Clowdus, Artistic Director of Serenbe Playhouse, makes his Atlanta Opera directorial debut.

Mad Women in my Attic! The haunting, comedic cabaret show, Mad Women in my Attic! comes to the United Solo Festival on Saturday, October 7th at 4:0 pm. The production played to critical acclaim at the Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015. 

Coronado Playhouse presents Little Shop of Horrors, opening Friday September 8th running until Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at Coronado Playhouse. Little Shop of Horrors is an horticultural horror story: sci-fi spoof musical with a hilarious and fearsome plot and a collection of great songs. Seymour Krelborn, the assistant at Mushnik's Flower Shop in downtrodden Skid Row, becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers a strange and exotic plant. He names it Audrey Two in order to impress glamorous Audrey, the colleague he's secretly in love with. Audrey Two quickly starts to wilt, putting Seymour's job and dream future with Audrey at risk. Accidentally pricking his finger, Seymour discovers Audrey Two needs a little more than plant food to thrive. The plant grows into a bad-tempered, R&B-singing carnivore whose voracious appetite becomes increasingly difficult to satisfy. 

Sarasota Opera is the recipient of an $8,000 grant for the commissioning of composer Rachel J. Peters for the creation of Rootabaga Country, Sarasota Youth Opera's sixth world premiere scheduled to be performed on November 11 and 12, 2017. The grant is provided by OPERA America's Opera Grants for Female Composers program, supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the first new play of Roundabout Underground's expanded 2017-2018 season, the world-premiere production of Too Heavy For Your Pocket by Jireh Breon Holder, directed by Margot Bordelon, and featuring Eboni Flowers (Evelyn Brandon), Hampton Fluker (Tony Carter), Brandon Gill (Bowzie Brandon) and Nneka Okafor (Sally-Mae Carter).
