Sundance Institute will gather 25 celebrated and revered expert voices across film, art, culture and science to award feature-length and short films shown at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival with 31 prizes, announced at a ceremony February 1. Short Film Awards will be announced at a separate ceremony on January 28. The Festival takes place January 23 through February 2 in Park City, Salt Lake City and Sundance, Utah.

The Recording Academy® welcomes the newest inductions to its distinguished GRAMMY Hall Of Fame®, continuing its ongoing commitment to preserving and celebrating timeless recordings. This year's additions recognize a diverse range of both single and album recordings at least 25 years old that exhibit qualitative or historical significance. Recordings are reviewed each year by a special member committee comprised of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts, with final approval by the Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. a?oeWomen Behind Bars,a?? the classic Tom Eyen comedy hit, will feature a live special introduction by Kathy Griffin at the Jan. 26 Sunday matinee performance, 3 PM at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.   

LAB RESULTS: The Antaeus Playwrights Lab Festival a?" Six new plays by award-winning, mid-career writers get developmental readings over the course of two weekends as part of Antaeus Theatre Company's second annual LAB RESULTS series. Each of the plays was developed in the Antaeus Playwrights Lab, an ongoing program that incubates new works that provide compelling roles for actors and creates a nurturing and supportive artistic community.  Last fall, two plays from the 2018 LAB RESULTS festival, The Abuelas by Stephanie Alison Walker and Eight Nights by Jennifer Maisel, were given critically acclaimed full productions as part of Antaeus' 2019-20 season.

a?oeWomen Behind Bars,a?? the classic prison comedy by a?oeDreamgirlsa?? writer Tom Eyen, will have its first new Equity revival Jan. 24-Feb. 2, at the 900-seat Montalban Theatre in Hollywood (formerly the Doolittle).   It is being directed and co-produced by award-winning director-choreographer Scott Thompson.

Grammy®, AMA, ACM and CMA award winning country music singer and Grand Ole Opry member Crystal Gayle has digitally reissued her 1986 holiday album, A Crystal Christmas, for the first time ever. Like he did on You Don't Know Me, Crystal's son Christos Gatzimos, returned to the studio and remastered his mother's collection of traditional Christmas compositions for digital release. The newly remastered album is now available at Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Amazon.

Bill Kenwright's 'Dazzling' (Sunday Telegraph) production of the international smash hit musical Blood Brothers continues into Spring 2020 from 4 February 2020 at Theatre Royal Brighton. This iconic musical has been visiting theatres across the country throughout 2019, performing to sell out houses and receiving standing ovations.

What happens when 1880 Western bandits are brought back to life in Azusa, CA by a space alien? Sam Shepard's The Unseen Hand joins Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's 50th Anniversary a?oeCirca '69a?? Season of significant and adventurous plays that premiered around the time of the company's inception, coupled with Shepard's gritty and audacious Killer's Head. Longtime Shepard collaborator Darrell Larson directs both plays for a Jan. 18 opening at the Odyssey Theatre in West L.A., where performances will continue through March 8.

Mr. Joe DiBlasi of Litchfield Piano Works has been a member of the Warner Theatre family for 20 years. Joe has donated his time and talents by tuning and servicing the Warner Theatre's pianos. Along with the Warner Theatre, Joe also supports local churches, Yale University and the Palace Theater. The Warner Theatre is so grateful for Joe's service!

Ginger Minj, a fan-favorite on a?oeRuPaul's Drag Racea?? and a?oeRuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars,a?? has joined the cast of the Los Angeles revival of Tom Eyen's cult prison comedy a?oeWomen Behind Bars,a?? playing the role of Ada.  The Equity production will run for eight performances only for two consecutive weekends, Jan. 24-Feb. 2, at the 900-seat Montalban Theatre in Hollywood (formerly the Doolittle), directed by Scott Thompson.  Minj replaces the previously-announced Thorgy Thor, who has withdrawn due to a conflict.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy/drama, a?oeVisiting Mr. Greena?? by Jeff Baron, on Monday, November 18, at 7 p.m. The cast includes Tim Jerome as Mr. Green and Charles Socarides as Ross Gardiner. After a decade of not speaking to each other, British guitarist Albert Lee was able to bring the Everly Brothers back together in 1983, for what he thought would be a one-off concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.
