Join this group of late nineteenth century German students on their passage as they navigate teenage self-discovery and coming of age anxiety in a powerful celebration of youth and rebellion in the daring, remarkable SPRING AWAKENING. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years. The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, told by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater through what Entertainment Weekly called, "the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade."

Torrington Symphony Orchestra Presents 'RISING STARS'

The Torrington Symphony Orchestra will present "Rising Stars," on Saturday, May 12 at 8 pm in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. Under the direction of conductor Maurice Steinberg, the orchestra will perform a variety of overtures and arias and feature up and coming artists including Mateo Tiul, Erick Sanchez, Karolina Wojteczko, Katie Weiser, Christine Manalo, Natalie Andrews and Serena Valentin.

Auditions Announced For Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID

The Warner Stage Company will hold auditions for a Main Stage Musical Production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID on Sunday, May 6th and Monday, May 7th beginning at 7:00pm. The production is directed by Richard McKenna with music director Jim Luurtsema and choreographer Sharon A. Wilcox. It will be presented on the Warner's Main Stage beginning July 28, 2018

The students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present Rogers and Hammerstein's 'Getting to Know' version of CINDERELLA, in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre May 5 and 6, as part of the Young Actors Series, sponsored by The Lufkin Family Foundation. The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance.

Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST Presented By Hub Theatre Company Of Boston

Hub Theatre Company of Boston will kick off its highly anticipated sixth season with the Pulitzer Prize nominated play TRUE WEST by the late Sam Shepard, directed by Daniel Bourque, starring Bob Mussett, Victor Shopov, Robert Orzalli and Maureen Adduci. The show runs Friday, April 13 through Saturday, April 28, 2018 at First Church Boston, 66 Marlborough Street in Boston's Back Bay.  Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 5 pm. All performances are "Pay-What-You-Can."  Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected at each performance for local charities. The Warner Theatre's Met Opera Live in HD Season continues in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on Saturday, April 14 at 12:30 pm with Verdi's LUISA MILLER. A complimentary 45 minute pre-opera lecture by Nunzio DeFilippis will be offered in the Studio Lobby at 10:30 am. Sonya Yoncheva stars as peasant girl Luisa opposite Piotr Beczala as Rodolfo in Verdi's tragedy about a young woman who sacrifices her own happiness in an attempt to save her father's life. The cast also stars Placido Domingo as Luisa's father Miller, with Olesya Petrova as Federica and Alexander Vinogradov in his Met debut as Walter and Dmitry Belosselskiy as Wurm, the ruthless men determined to tear Luisa and Rodolfo apart. Bertrand de Billy conducts.

The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra Comes to The Soraya, 4/5

The Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, which captures the infectious fun of big band music, will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, April 5 at 8:00pm.  Jazz Times called the Los Angeles-based band, with a 32-year history, "one of current jazz's most vital large ensemble." Co-founder bassist John Clayton is a CSUN alumnus who has gone on to play with superstars such as Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle and Madonna.

The Midtown Men Come to the Warner

The Warner Stage Company will present THE FULL MONTY on the Warner Theatre Main Stage May 5-13, sponsored by DNR Laboratories. Based on the cult hit film of the same name, THE FULL MONTY, a ten-time Tony Award nominee, is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and the most highly anticipated closing number of any show. While spying on their wives at a "Girls Night Out," a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo see how much they enjoy watching male strippers. Jealous, out of work and feeling emasculated, the men come up with a bold and unclothed way to make some quick cash. In preparing, they find themselves extremely exposed; not merely physically but emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness and prejudices, the men come to discover that they're stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to "let it go." Contains adult language and situation.

The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory Presents IMPACT 2018 in the Warner's Studio Theatre

The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory will present IMPACT 2018, March 24 and 25 in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre. This year's IMPACT features excerpts from Acts 2 and 3 from the much beloved Swan Lake, staged by Eleanor D'Antuono, Alexei Tchernichov and Denise Warner Limoli. The performances also include excerpts from Carmen, with original choreography by Kirk Peterson; a new modern work by Kate St. Amand; and an exciting new collaboration between Artistic Director Victoria Mazzarelli and Charles Patterson. Featuring live music performed by Patterson's quartet JINQS, this new piece features Nutmeg dancers performing original choreography set to music by jazz greats John Coltrane and Thelonius Monk.

Scotty McCreery Comes to the Warner Theatre

The Warner Theatre will welcome Scotty McCreery to the Main Stage on Thursday, March 15 at 8 pm. Opening the show is Texas-based duo, Waterloo Revival. After a five year wait and a multitude of life changes, the country music star will release his new album Seasons Change on March 16 which includes his smash hit song 'Five More Minutes.'

Phil Madeira To Release PROVIDENCE on 4/6

Most people who know Phil Madeira know him as one of the most seasoned players in Nashville. Since his arrival in 1983, Madeira has seen success in a plethora of different ways. He has quietly released five solo critically-acclaimed records and has shared the stage with Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Leon Russell, and Jack White. If you can think of it, Phil Madeira has probably lived it; but that's what most people don't know about Phil Madeira - his own story - and he's finally ready to tell it.Releasing on April 6, Providence is a rare look at the man behind the music, a chance for listeners to get to know Madeira's own stories, after having spent decades helping other songwriters and musicians tell theirs. Warner Theatre Receives CHEFA Non-Profit Grant

The Warner Theatre received notification that it is the recipient of one of twelve 2017 Non-Profit Capital Needs Grants awarded by the Connecticut Health and Education Facilities Authority (CHEFA). The grant award of $29,960 will be used for the replacement/repair of a portion of the theatre's roof which covers the main auditorium. Over 50,000 people attend events in the Warner's main theatre each season, as well as thousands of schoolchildren who attend curricular-based programming. This section of the roof has an active leak, making this a priority for replacement.
