Actors Theatre of Louisville and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are thrilled to announce the return of Fifth Third Bank's Dracula, in the Bingham Theatre from September 7-October 31, 2018. With fangs bared and eyes aglow, Louisville's favorite vampire is back! Kansas City Actors Theatre has completed casting for its world-premiere adaption of Bram Stoker's Gothic classic titled "Dracula: A Song of Love and Death," written by local author Mitch Brian. Presented in partnership with the UMKC Theatre Department, this is the third show of Kansas City Actors Theatre's fourteenth season, and will run from October 12th to the 21st in the Spencer Theater on UMKC's campus.

As the national blood shortage rages on, Starlight and several neighboring Swope Park organizations are stepping in to help. The local blood supply has not been stable since March, when the COVID-19 pandemic became widespread in the United States. In response, Swope Park organizations are once again partnering with Community Blood Center (CBC) for another life-saving blood drive to be held in the Applause Club at Starlight Theatre.

Seattle Opera will host its second blood drive of the year in partnership with Bloodworks Northwest. At the company's first drive in August 2020, 196 people gave blood over a four-day period. Twenty-two percent of participants were first-time blood donors. Donations from the event may have benefitted as many as 500 patients in the Greater Seattle area.

Seattle Opera is launching a new performance series meant to bring joy to vulnerable community members. Community Serenades will bring an opera singer and pianist to perform in various settings for seniors and people experiencing homelessness. The artists will maintain a recommended distance and practice safety protocols, while residents listen from the safety of their homes/rooms or in large outdoor spaces. The first serenade, presented in partnership with Path with Art, is set for 3 p.m. on July 23 (weather dependent) outside of Plymouth Place. Featured performers include soprano Tess Altiveros and pianist Elisabeth Ellis.

The Herberger Theater Center (HTC) will host a community blood drive on September 10, 2018, 10am-2pm, inside the Center Stage Lobby as part of a promotional campaign for Sweeney Todd, the upcoming co-production with Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT). Blood donors will be provided with a voucher for one free ticket to Sweeney Todd, An American in Paris, or The Addams Family. Donors should enter through the HTC Box Office located at 222 East Monroe Street in Phoenix. Tony Edgerton, the lead of Sweeney Todd, will be making an appearance in costume during the blood drive.
