The full cast, creative team and orchestra for the upcoming holiday production of Annie at Skylight Music Theatre was announced today by Skylight Artistic Director Ray Jivoff.

Adam Kantor, Andrea McArdle, Michael Mulheren, Orfeh, Brad Oscar, Duncan Sheik, Jennifer Simard, Emily Skinner and Stephen Wallem will star in the 2017 Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening benefiting the Humane Society of New York, on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 7 pm at Feinstein's/ 54 Below.

Novato Theater Company continues its 2017-208 season with Chicago, Broadway's longest-running American musical, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and Bob Fosse. Set in Prohibition-era Chicago, the musical is based on a 1926 play about actual criminals and their crimes. The story is a satire on corruption in the administration of criminal justice and the concept of the 'celebrity criminal'. Chicago includes memorable songs like 'All that Jazz,' 'When You're Good to Mama,' and 'All I Care About is Love.'

New Britain Youth Theater, which begins its eighth season this month, has been named Best Children's Theater by the editors of Connecticut Magazine. The accolade comes in the September 2017 "Best of Connecticut" issue of the magazine, and recognizes that what started as "an after-school program has blossomed into a professionally run community and educational theater."

The Broadway community mourns the loss of multiple Tony Award® winner Thomas Meehan, who passed away on Monday, August 21st at age 88. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in his memory on Wednesday, August 30th, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced that Latin Grammy Award nominee Quattrosound, singer/trumpeter Johnny Britt, and comic Michael Colyar will be special guests when Grammy Award-winning recording artist and Motown legend Thelma Houston brings her show My Motown Memories & More! to the Ford Theatres in Hollywood for one show only on Sunday, August 27, at 8pm.
