Si Litvinoff, the visionary producer whose foresight in cinema art led to perennial classics such as Stanley Kubrick's “A Clockwork Orange,” Nicolas Roeg's “Walkabout”, 'The Man Who Fell to Earth,' starring David Bowie, and more passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Los Angeles, California. He was 93.

The Third Avenue Playhouse, located in historic downtown Sturgeon Bay, announces its lineup of six plays for the upcoming 2020 season. The plays include an early career work from playwright David Mamet, a 1964 musical by the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, a multi-award winning classic about the unlikely friendship between an elderly lady and her driver, the story of an unconventional advice columnist, and a farcical take on the making of Gone With The Wind.

Spring activities for the Centennial, which continues through all of 2019, include a wide range of performances, film screenings, discussions, education initiatives, community programming, and new works by other artists in conversation with Merce Cunningham's work.

Older & Reckless, MOonhORsE Dance Theatre's acclaimed series curated by Artistic Director Claudia Moore, celebrates age on stage with the 41st edition, featuring international dance force Kitt Johnson from Denmark. Carnegie Hall's The '60s: The Years that Changed America, a citywide festival from January 14-March 24, 2018, concludes this month with a vast array of events presented at Carnegie Hall and at more than 35 leading partner cultural institutions throughout New York City. This special exploration of the '60s invites audiences to explore this turbulent decade through the lens of arts and culture, including music's role as a meaningful vehicle to inspire social change.

Opening Night is Thursday, March 22. Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, where it will play April 25-May 20.

Some of Broadway's biggest and brightest names will light the stage tonight in the all-star gala concert event, Broadway: A Jewish American Legacy, which will be presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7pm in the Edmond J. Safra Theatre at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (36 Battery Place).

Tony Award nominees Terrance Mann (Pippin) and Douglas Sills (War Paint, The Scarlet Pimpernel) will join some of Broadway's biggest and brightest names lighting the stage in the all-star gala concert event, Broadway: A Jewish American Legacy, which will be presented by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7pm in the Edmond J.
