When you think 'haunted houses' you probably don't picture the inside of a theatre. But with an over 100 year history, many of Broadway's most famous houses are positively teeming with reports of the supernatural.

Celebrating 40 years of association with The Royal Ballet, world renowned ballerina Alessandra Ferri returns to the Linbury Theatre this October for L'Heure Exquise: Maurice Béjart's interpretation of Samuel Beckett's play Oh les beaux jours (Happy Days).  

The pilot is penned by Stumptown's Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams and will be directed by Marc Webb. Also joining the cast are Violett Beane, Hugo Diego Garcia, Angela Zhou, and Rahul Kohli. 

The Dramatists Guild of America has announced that the recipient of the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award is Adrienne Kennedy. The award will be presented at the Guild’s annual awards ceremony at a later date.

Battery Dance celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its free summer festival from August 12-20, 2021, in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. The 40th Annual Battery Dance Festival features 16 international dance films from August 12-14 at 7pm ET via YouTube. 40 in-person and livestreamed performances will be staged at Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park, New York City, from August 15-20 at 7pm ET. In total, 32 premieres by 53 dance companies are offered to international audiences, promoting Battery Dance’s mission of connecting the world through dance.

Rusty Kanokogi grew up running the streets of Coney Island with her girl gang and hustling tourists up and down the boardwalk. Heading down a dark path, she was saved by the sport of  judo. In 1959 she competed against a man and won, only to have her medal stripped from her for being a woman.

On Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 8:00pm ET, pianist Karl Larson will make his solo debut at Brooklyn's Roulette in a free, live streamed concert celebrating the release of Dark Days, a new album of solo piano music by composer Scott Wollschleger out April 23 on New Focus Recordings.
