Pure Joy turned into Grief and Terror then finally Relief coursed through me. For 90 minutes, I was completely immersed in the experience that is AMPARO. And that is exactly what AMPARO is; a complete theatrical experience. As I am writing this I can still feel all the emotions I went through when I first participated in AMPARO. I say participated because you don't watch AMPARO, you live it. I also haven't stopped talking about it to anyone who will listen and even now when I describe the experience as I am urging family and friends to GO SEE IT, I get goosebumps. I fear that I won't do the experience justice with my mere words but I will do my best.

I remember all my childhood being told about what Cuba used to be by my grandparents. As a third generation Cuban American living in Miami, Florida, as soon as we start to crawl, you are hearing about the good ole days before Fidel Castro stole Cuba from the people - people who still long for home. So I was thrilled to research into AMPARO. This one of a kind immersive theater experience is based on the compelling, true story of an immigrant family's triumph through exile. From present-day Miami to 1957-Cuba, where you will follow cast members through the Cuban Revolution, bearing witness to the story of the Arechabala family--founders of THE REAL HAVANA CLUB rum.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) has just announced the full cast of Something Clean, by Selina Fillinger, directed by Margot Bordelon. This is the second play in Roundabout Underground's expanded two-play season, following the critically acclaimed, sold-out production of Usual Girls by Ming Peiffer this fall.

Theatre Royal Bath today announces A Season of UK Premieres from the Americas at the Ustinov Studio opening next month. The Model Apartment by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Laurence Boswell will run from 22 November to 22 December with opening night for press on 28 November. This will be followed by Tanya Barfield's play with music, Blue Door, directed by Eleanor Rhode from 7 February to 9 March 2019, and a third production, to be announced, will complete the season.

To Seek a Newer World Productions and Lisa Dozier King in association with New Circle Theatre Company to present the World Premiere of Kennedy: Bobby's Last Crusade written by and starring David Arrow and directed by Eric Nightengale. Atlantic recording artist Gucci Mane and international DJ/producer Carnage have announced plans for a major North American co-headlining tour. The Unusual Suspects Tour – with support from Florida rapper Smokepurpp – gets underway on November 7th at Myth Live in St. Paul, Minnesota, and comes to an end on December 7th in San Francisco at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.  Tickets for all dates of The Unusual Suspects Tour go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, September 28th at 10am (local).

Today, multi-platinum, Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy announces a new initiative called “Vance Joy - Ukuleles for Kids” in partnership with Kala and MyMusicRx. Exclusively announced via Billboard, the newly founded program will provide the opportunity for children's hospitals across the United States to opt into donation throughout the month of August. In September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, ukuleles and how-to video lessons will be delivered to hospitals that have opted in to the program. Jason Robert Brown was just 25 years old when his SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD took the stage of Off-Broadway's intimate WPA Theatre. As he played piano and led the handful of musicians in director Daisy Prince's production, a quartet of actors who all had big things ahead of them (Brooks Ashmanskas, Andrea Burns, Jessica Molaskey and Billy Porter) revealed the vivid collection of complex and approachable emotions expressed by the extraordinarily relatable collection of characters created by this young man's music and lyrics.

How We React and How We Recover, the new album from three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, will be released by Ghostlight Records this month. His first solo recording in over a decade is a politically-charged, far-reaching rumination on love, family and music. The album will be available in digital and streaming formats on Friday, June 29, with a physical CD planned for later this year. The release will coincide with New York City Center's Encores! Off-Center production of Brown's landmark New York debut show Songs for a New World, which runs from June 27-30.

The Ithaca Beer Co. announces the release of 'Brew York' Pale Ale, the first New York State brewery to commit to high volume, long-term use of New York-grown ingredients - forecasting upwards of 1,500 barrels (1 barrel equals 31 U.S. gallons) this year. Brew York will be available year-round to retailers in every market within the state in both kegs and 12-ounce bottled six-packs beginning May 16.
