The Mobile Unit's free tour (October 24-November 16) brings Shakespeare and other works to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts by visiting correctional facilities, homeless shelters, social service organizations, and other community organizations. Following the tour to the five boroughs, there will also be a free three-week engagement of MEASURE FOR MEASURE in The Public's Shiva Theater running Monday, November 18 through Sunday, December 8, with an official press opening on Friday, November 22.

It tells the story of twin girls separated at birth, reunited by chance at a summer camp 10 years later. In an attempt to re-join their divorced parents, they decide to exchange identities.

Shakespeare in the Parking Lot will present 'Romeo and Juliet,' directed by Lukas Raphael, September 21, 2019 at 4:00pm as part of the 2019 Michael Chekhov Festival in Ridgefield. This is the 11th year of the festival and the fourth year New York's The Drilling Company has joined with The Michael Chekhov Theatre Festival to bring FREE Shakespeare to Ballard Park. The Drilling Company's Shakespeare production, a popular New York summer institution, is now in its 15th year. Its concept a?' presenting Shakespeare plays with a 'poor theater' aesthetic in a working parking lot a?' is now widely imitated around the US and around the world, with productions as far away as New Zealand. The Orchestra Now (TŌN), the visionary orchestra and master's degree program founded by Bard College president, conductor, educator, and music historian Leon Botstein, begins its fifth season on September 14, 2019. Five different series and three special events will offer 19 diverse programs and 31 performances presenting novel combinations of both time-honored and lesser-known repertoire through May 17, 2020.
