Laibach Share New Track 'The Engine Of Survival'

“The Engine of Survival”, originally written by Laibach collaborator and backing vocalist Donna Marina Mårtensson, was rearranged by Laibach who titled it “The Engine of Survival”, referring to the lyric (“Love is the only Engine of Survival”) in Leonard Cohen’s famous track, “The Future”, which was recently reinterpreted by the band.

This is a New York cast hitting Houston for a three night stop of a national tour. My question is, does it really make that much of a statement? The script for the show remains what it has been since 1776 debuted on Broadway back in 1969.

Robert Patrick, aka Robert Patrick O'Connor, writer of poems, lyrics, short stories, novels, and a pioneering playwright known for his contributions to Off-Off Broadway and the Caffe Cino has passed away at the age of 85. He died in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles on April 23, 2023 (407 years to the day after Shakespeare's death).
