​​​​​​​New York Festival of Song (NYFOS), led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, kicks off its 2023-24 Mainstage season with Perennials - Songs For Every Season on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center.

Next up at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, Center Theatre Group (in association with IAMA Theatre Company) present Alexis Scheer’s Our Dear Dead Drug Lord opening August 27, 2023 (already in previews). The Beijing Music Festival unveiled the details of its 25th/26th festival, scheduled from Sept. 22 to Oct. 15, with the theme Music·Youth·Future·Attitude.

Last week, R.Evolución Latina held their free annual summer camp with the participation of over 90 campers and 50 volunteers and artists sharing their art and giving back. Founded in 2008, the D2GB Performing Arts Camp provides free-of-charge classes in dance, voice, acting and other performance disciplines to children ages 7 to 17 from multiple schools and community organizations from across the city.

For nearly 15 years, Go Comedy! Improv Theater has been a cornerstone of improv and sketch comedy in metro Detroit. From impacting the lives of more than 1,000 students in Go U! Buxton came onto the scene in the early 2000s and kind of never left. With a blend of psych-rock and Americana that's all their own, they've released five albums in the last two decades—the latter three on New West Records.
