Dorset Theatre Festival has announced full casting for Stephen King's Misery, adapted for the stage by William Goldman, which will open the 46th Season (June 23 - July 8), and the director for the third show of the season, Kate Hamill's Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson - Apt. 2B (August 11 - 26).

Love is a Battlefield is about a group of college friends, sex and accountability for that sex. Ryan is a college student, living his best life, with an amazing circle of close friends, however, Ryan doesn't know yet if he's gay. 

He’s a Seattle favorite. He inspires magic and wonder and just brings a smile to the faces of those who see him. No, I’m not talking about Justin Huertas, composer of the locally (and beyond) renowned musical “Lizard Boy” (about to make its Off-Broadway premiere in NYC, by the way), although I might as well be. No, I’m referring to the Fremont staple of the Troll statue under the Aurora Bridge. That devilish creature clutching a Volkswagen Beetle is beloved by all who pass through. Well now Huertas has come along with his own take on how this stone giant came to be, with his long awaited “Lydia and the Troll”, currently playing at the Seattle Rep. And a few technical issues aside, it’s just more wonderful from this up-and-coming composer who is about to take New York by storm.

Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3. WPalm Canyon Theatre (PCT) and Del Shores have a long, strong bond with each other. His sidewalk star is even strategically placed in front of the theatre. It seems that every year PCT produces one of his plays, frequently Sordid Lives. This year they are presenting Daddy’s Dyin’, Who’s Got the Will?, his second play which was first produced in 1990.  I’ve known the title for years – it’s the sort of title you don’t soon forget – but this is the first time I have seen it produced.  I personally think it is a better structured play than the more popular Sordid Lives, and the opening night audience at PCT howled with laughter from the very first entrance.hat did our critic think of DADDY'S DYIN', WHO'S GOT THE WILL? at Palm Canyon Theatre?

Larry Eisenberg directs the cast of Todd Andrew Ball, Peter Bussian, Fox Carney, Joe Clabby, Cheryl David, Mouchette van Helsdingen and Jeffrey Winner.
