Snow Angel at Annex Theatre

Written by Hannah Wang, this play follows neurotic college student Lucy, who has struggled to feel like a real person all her life. After a failed suicide attempt lands her in the psych ward, she discovers she has been transformed into a jiangshi, an undead monster from Chinese folklore that feeds off the qi of the living. Only her Mormon roommate believes her condition is more than a common disorder, while mysterious beings of darkness begin following her, and Lucy must fend off the call of the void to maintain any shred of humanity.
