Review: CHEZ JOEY at Arena Stage

An embarrassment of theatrical riches, bordering on sensory, stimulating overload, is on display in an exceptionally bold and satisfying reimagining of the very influential musical Pal Joey—now reconceived as Chez Joey. The show still takes place in the 1940’s Chicago music/nightclub scene, but it has been opened up to explore potent possibilities that are realized in this production.

Syracuse Stage Artistic Director Robert Hupp and Managing Director Jill Anderson announced the next production in their 2022/2023 season, and it’s one for the ages. Thornton Wilder’s cherished and frequently produced play, Our Town, runs Wednesday, March 29 through Sunday, April 16 at Syracuse Stage in the Archbold Theatre. Robert Hupp will direct the production.

Jeff Goldblum In Final Talks to Join WICKED Movie as The Wizard

Jeff Goldblum is in talks to join the Wicked movie as the Wizard of Oz. He could be joining Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero in the two-part film adaption of the hit Broadway musical. The films will be produced by Jon M. Chu, who also directed the film adaption of In the Heights.

NSAL Florida East Coast Chapter Holds Nation's First Collaborative Piano & Brass Duo Competition

The event, held at Lynn University in Boca Raton, is the only competition in the United States which recognizes and awards the duo as two parts of equal importance, akin to figure skating pairs.
