LAND OF TALK Announces New LP LASTS via Saddle Creek

Review: MAN TO MAN, Royal Court

by Franco Milazzo — Sep 13, 2026

Those worrying that Tilda Swinton — the patron saint of Sunday afternoon arthouse movies and performance art best experienced through reviews — has gone mainstream should make themselves a cup of chamomile tea and relax. There are likely very few famous actors (never mind Oscar winners) queuing up to spend their night daubed in white paint and standing alone for 80 minutes dressed in little more than a string vest and giant red y-fronts. There are, though, plenty of people eager to watch la Swinton: the London run has already sold out ahead of press night before, like a rock tour, the play heads to Edinburgh, Berlin and New York.

Review: THE FIFTH STEP is hilarious, sharp and hits you in the gut

by Faeron Wheeler — Sep 12, 2026

THE FIFTH STEP is one of those plays that makes you laugh before hitting you with real emotion. The writing and the characters created by David Ireland are superb. And the Baxter team that brought them to life have more than risen to the occasion.

Review: THE YELLOW WALLPAPER at The Archive Theater

by Joni Lorraine — Sep 10, 2026

Just want to say, right away, I’m absolutely recommending THE YELLOW WALLPAPER. It seems in times like these that many of us would seek a more uplifting way to spend two hours, but stick with me. This one is relevant, important, and just about perfectly executed.

Review: KIMBERLY AKIMBO, Hampstead Theatre

by Katie Kirkpatrick — Sep 10, 2026

Hampstead Theatre is not your typical destination for the UK premiere of a Tony-winning musical - but then Kimberly Akimbo is far from your typical musical. More interested in nuanced characters and complex feelings than tap numbers and top Cs, this deeply moving story of a teenage girl quite literally running out of time is refreshing and full of heart.

Interview: Theatre Life with Susan Derry

by Elliot Lanes — Sep 10, 2026

Today’s subject Susan Derry is an example of an artist living their theatre life with a full plate of projects. She has several coming up that I promise you will be very interested in reading about. The first of which is her solo cabaret show entitled Ingenue You When which will be performed at Creative Cauldron in Falls Church, VA on September 12th and 18th at 7:30pm. You’ll need to read on to see what else Susan has coming up because it’s quite a lot of artistic goodness to take in.
