To Be Frank is a non-verbal horror comedy loosely inspired by Mary Shelley's classic gothic novel, blending high energy physical theatre and clowning with an original punk-inspired live score and foley performed on electric guitar. The show follows Frank, a monster born on stage into an oversized and unpredictable body, as spectators directly influence the creature's evolution through interaction and mirroring. Created and performed by Michael Hockey, with live music by Alanna Hall, the piece explores otherness, love, and the consequences of creating life.
