The Nearly Naked Show is a subversive, silly, and surprisingly endearing solo comedy debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from cult drag performer and comedian Fanny Bleach (Emma Crowley-Bennett). Blending immersive monologues, physical theatre, shock humour, and rapid-fire character comedy, the show introduces audiences to characters inhabiting the creepiest crevices of Bleach's mind, twisting mundane realities into surreal nightmares filled with bodily mutation and deviant behaviour. The show emerged from Crowley-Bennett's experiences navigating power imbalances in women's early acting careers and her time at drama school, built as a reclamation of control and autonomy. It is written, designed, and performed by Fanny Bleach (Emma Crowley-Bennett), with costume support from Freya Wright and creative support from Mizz Barber.
