The Eight Faces of Ellie Morrison at Theatre Two at Theatre Row

A high energy new play that brings live MMA (mixed martial arts) action to the stage, blending live combat and music to tell the story of rock star Ellie and her struggling MMA fighter brother Luke. When Ellie makes a promise that everyone expects Luke to honour, the play explores themes of courage, loyalty, and the consequences of reckless behaviour. Written by debut playwright Sam Beeson, who trained and competed in MMA to authentically portray the sport, with Beeson playing Luke and Aislinn Evans playing the titular Ellie Morrison. The production also features a live original rock and roll ballad performed each night by Evans.
