Stand Up If You're Here Tonight at Underbelly Bristo Square

Olivier Award-nominated playwright John Kolvenbach brings the UK Premiere of Stand Up If You're Here Tonight, a funny, poignant, and intimate solo play about a man desperately seeking connection in his audience. Inspired by the pandemic and universal isolation, the show features gentle audience participation in which the audience itself becomes a character in a radical act of connection. Broadway actor Jim Ortlieb performs the piece, drawing on credits including Of Mice and Men with James Franco and Chris O'Dowd, Guys and Dolls with Oliver Platt and Tituss Burgess, and the first US tour of Billy Elliott The Musical. The production follows acclaimed runs in LA, Chicago, Paris, and at The Huntington in Boston.
