SpinQueen at Pickle Studio at Greenside at Riddles Court

SpinQueen is a darkly comic one-woman show written and performed by Megan Tomei, set entirely on a stationary spin bike from which the performer cannot unclip. Trapped on the bike, a woman pedals through her need to please, her addictions, and her eating disorder, as a standard fitness class spirals into a confession, a confrontation, and a reckoning with body, mind, and self. Directed by Jennesy Herrera, the show blends satire, physical intensity, and direct audience engagement to examine the culture of self-optimisation and the pressures placed on women to be disciplined, desirable, and emotionally contained. The production runs 50 minutes and is the UK premiere of the show.
