Richard Ashcroft Revived My Libido at Gilded Balloon Teviot

Comedian, actor, and voice artist Mel Hudson makes her debut as a solo performer at Edinburgh Fringe Festival with this stand-up show blending storytelling, stand-up, and personal reflection. When a gig by former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft becomes an unexpected catalyst, it reminds Mel that desire exists and sets off a chain reaction that forms the backbone of the show. The show traces moments from adolescence through to midlife, exploring the history of her libido and celebrating it in all its forms. Mel Hudson is best known as Nina Vanier in Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Lauren's French Teacher in The Catherine Tate Show, and as one half of Radio 4 comedy duo Hudson and Pepperdine.
