Planet of the Grapes at The Pleasance Courtyard – Below

Planet of the Grapes is a family-friendly, tabletop sci-fi adventure making its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe after sold-out preview performances in the US. Astronaut Taylor crashes on a planet ruled by speaking grapes who enslave mute humans, and soon discovers the shocking truth about their warped world. Created and performed by Peter Michael Marino, directed by Michole Biancosino, with an original score by Michael Harren and featuring Cecilia Arana, the show draws on themes from the original Planet of the Apes novel and screenplay, including science vs. religion, class systems, and humanity's relationship with the natural world. The production features puppets, interactive elements, and sets crafted from kitchen supplies.
