Laughing Out Lonely (LOL) is a genre-defying opera created by Copenhagen-based company OPE-N that transforms real social media posts into an immersive live experience. Performed by countertenor Morten Grove Frandsen, the work explores modern isolation in a hyperconnected world through a visceral, emotionally charged solo performance. The production is part of #DANISH, a showcase of Danish performing arts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, now in its fifth year of live performance.
