Ele McKenzie: Bringing It All Back Home at Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Ele McKenzie's debut stand-up show explores the experience of moving back in with her parents at 30, examining the gap between adult expectations and reality. The show leans into the idea of arrested development, conceived in the liminal space of McKenzie's childhood bedroom, tracing the messy and circular nature of growing up. McKenzie embodies a persona she describes as a sort of horny teenage boy in the body of an adult woman, resulting in a candid and chaotic performance laced with tragic pathos. The show is directed by Alex Cartlidge and Will Farrell.
