COMA, from immersive theatre producers DARKFIELD, returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the first time since 2023. Audiences are invited to take part in a mass experiment, slipping into a collective dream guided by a mysterious voice through their headphones. The experience takes place in complete darkness, using 360-degree binaural sound and sensory effects developed specifically for the show, leaving participants questioning what is real and what is a dream. COMA premiered in Edinburgh in 2019, won an Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award in 2020, and has since toured extensively to critical acclaim.
