All Rise is a thematic centerpiece of the 2026 Edinburgh International Festival, running from August 7 to August 30. Under the direction of violinist Nicola Benedetti, the festival celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence with a diverse program featuring over 2,000 artists from 44 countries. Highlights include the world premiere of The Galloping Cure by Scottish Opera, a jazz ensemble residency led by Wynton Marsalis, and significant theatrical works such as Tony Kushner's Angels in America and the European premiere of Clown Show by Geoff Sobelle. The festival aims to provoke dialogue around themes of freedom, resilience, and cultural identity through a variety of performances and discussions.
