Box Tale Soup presents a world premiere adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's gothic classics, fusing haunting puppetry, original music, and supernatural storytelling with a shape-shifting set inspired by the Hammer Horror aesthetic. The two-hander weaves together The Tell-Tale Heart, The Masque of the Red Death, Ligeia, The Cask of Amontillado, The Raven, and Lenore, following a mysterious scholar and his ominous companion whose agenda threatens to unravel into a dangerous confession. Written by Antonia Christophers, Noel Byrne, and Mark Collier, and directed by Mark Collier, the production features performers Noel Byrne and Antonia Christophers. The puppets, set, and props have been handcrafted almost entirely from recycled and sustainable materials by the company, returning to Edinburgh for their thirteenth year.
