58 high school singers from across the country compete for a spot in the Final Round of the fifth annual Schmidt Vocal Arts National Vocal Competition, presented in partnership with Sarasota Opera. Semi-final adjudicators include Dr. Alison Acord, Dr. Marc Callahan, mezzo-soprano Dr. Alexis Davis-Hazell, tenor Anthony Dean Griffey, and Kathleen Kelly. The top performers from each of 18 regional competitions, plus four wild card singers, advance to this round.
