Sarasota Orchestra's Young Person's Concerts are experienced by nearly 9,000 students annually and have been presented since 1953. This live orchestra concert experience for fourth and fifth grade students combines a year-long curriculum in schools with a field trip to see the professional Sarasota Orchestra in concert. Eight daytime concerts will be held over four days at the North Port Performing Arts Center and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. A family concert open to the public will also take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 9 at the Van Wezel.
