NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Richey Suncoast Theatre presents Moonflower: The Spirit of Santana, with special guest ALX — Alex Lopez and The Xpress, on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Two great bands share the stage to pay tribute to the music that helped form a generation — and changed music forever.

The music and rhythms of Carlos Santana come alive with Moonflower. These master musicians recreate the sound, the feel and the show of a Latin rock icon — every one of Santana’s greatest hits, delivered with the fire that made them legendary. Close your eyes and you’re at a Santana concert. Open them, and you’ll be even more amazed.

Joining them, acclaimed international recording artist Alex Lopez and his band The Xpress perform the classic British blues that started a music revolution — music from Eric Clapton, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Gary Moore, Jeff Beck and many more — alongside songs from Lopez’s own award-winning, Top Ten Billboard-charting albums.

Critics have called Lopez capable of revitalizing the blues for a new generation. Mixing blues, rock, pop and even funk, Alex and his band create a sound that is uniquely mesmerizing inside a framework of melodic, memorable songs. His vision has always been to give fans a show that transcends a concert and becomes a musical experience — and he has surrounded himself with top-caliber musicians who deliver it night after night.

Together, the two bands turn one evening into a full arc of rock history — from the Latin percussion and singing guitar lines of Santana to the raw, amplified blues that came out of Britain and rewired American music.
